Can the most forward pinion bearing be replaced without removing the entire third member from the diff? Or pulling the entire pinion?

yes I know the race may be bad too but just trying to get away easy for once
 
You can replace just that bearing, but the old race will damage the new bearing. If it’s making noise it also might be a bad inner bearing. You will also have to reset the preload on the bearings when you reassemble with the new parts.
If you want easy get a replacement 3rd member from @cruiseroutfit then no need to worry about any problems, changing the inner bearing can change how the gears meet up.
 
I usually like to eff it up a few times then maybe. Maybe … ask for help
