I guess you have been busy....

Beautiful! Glad you stuck with the original color. I've been inspired by your thread, but I'm the ultimate procrastinator. Plus, I've got about 2-4 weeks left of topless weather to enjoy.

Just finished putting it all back together - I must have made 5 or 6 trips to the hardware store just to pick up nuts and bolts alone:

Finally!!

Just got back from a test drive and it ran and handled great. It sure feels good to get it back on the road. I still have a few odds and ends to take care of but at least its road worthy at this point. It took me a while to get to this point - I'm not going to know what to do with all the extra free time I'm going to have. :D

**EDIT** Free time is over - now working on the hard top. . . see below.

I like it... Love the color. Congrats...

Looks good I finished painting mine in July. After 10 months of solid garage time it is hard to change modes. I have since rebuilt a .22 rifle and painted some stuff for a buddy. Also became a real pain in the butt with the family. They are not use to me being around and in my chair.:beer:

I get the impression you have done this sort of thing. You make it look so easy. Awesome work!

Actually, this was my first go at it and if I can do, anyone can. I hope the thread helps to motivate and shed some light on the process. If you or anyone else is beginning a similar project - I would suggest that you start up a build up thread and so we can watch your progress as well. Oh, and include pics - MUD folks love pics.

Nice work. Could you post up a pic of the passenger side engine bay? Particularly all the mounted parts on that fender, as well as a passenger firewall shot.
thanks
Scott

Here you go - although, mine is not stock as far as the coil/igniter. Hope it helps.

Had the roll bar powder coated black - it turned out perfect. If anyone needs a powder coater here in Tampa, shoot me a PM for the info. At the same time I installed CCOT's seat belts - turned out nice as well. Also add a HFS front bumper and OEM mirrors/arms.

Hard Top Resto

I've enjoyed running around town without the top for a while but I've decided to restore the top and get it back on. I've started on the front doors as they had typical rust along the bottom. I picked up a set of lower patch panels and cut out the old metal, fit the new and welded it in. This is the pax side door:

Great build up! The paint looks great, I have to learn to weld!
