I've searched and searched and searched some more for a Vacuum line diagram for a 1974 fj40 (10/73) with Cali emissions. The po disconnected the emissions and blocked some stuff off. I was replacing vacuum lines, had to order some, was too cheap to pay for expedited shipping, early Alzheimer's kicked in and now I can't remember what went to what. On top of all of that, I ordered a new pcv hose from SOR and it fit the pcv valve great but I had a hell of a time getting it back on the nozzle under the carb. SOR said they should have been the same size. Does this mean the po switched a part out?
Anywho, if anybody has a pic or a diagram of where the vac hoses go on a 74 Cali carb that has been de-granola-ed, please let me know. Oh, I've looked at SOR a thousand times. Those diagrams aren't helping.

Thanks again,
Joel

No luck on this.
I’ve been looking for the same diagram and nothing.
Did you end up figuring out the hoses?

Howdy. I realize this post is 10 years old, but I’m looking to replace the pcv hose on my ‘74 FJ40 and I too have a different diameter on the port on the base plate of the carb than on the pcv valve. The diameter on the valve is 10mm while the diameter on the port on the carb plate is 13mm. I was going to order one from SOR thinking they’d have the two differing ends but I may not now. I’m just wondering if anyone else has noticed these two different diameters.

Yup, noticed that about 36 years ago. Original rubber hose was slightly bigger at the carb end. Don't know if it was manufactured that way or just from use. I eventually replaced it with a prettier hose.

Good to know. Seems like it must've been manufactured that way for some reason. Thanks for getting back to me.
