SOLD
After a recent health scare, and some soul searching, I have decided to make some changes in my life.
Downsizing forces me to sell my beloved 1974 FJ40. It is time for it to go to a new owner who will appreciate it and who can afford to continue progress on it.
I restored this truck myself, and I have dumped countless thousands of dollars into it over the years to get it to where it is now. It is a reliable/fun truck and I would love to see it go to a fellow Mudder!
If you have not previously seen it, it is in what I would consider excellent condition.
The truck originated in North Carolina and was in decent shape when I bought it. I tore it down to the frame. Believe it or not, the truck only had 39,000 miles on it when I purchased it back in 2000. It had been used for the boss man to drive around on an orchard.
This is not a truck that was thrown together to "flip" and make money, this has been a labor of love over the span of 15 years, and it has the little details and rough edges worked out (well, it is still a 40 though...).
The truck is always evolving, and I am always working to take it to the next level. You can see my build thread on the truck here.
Here is a link to all of the pictures I have of the truck.
I am asking $20k OBO.

Here is the list of specs:
Other parts that come with it:
The Bad:
I did not replace the sill when I restored the truck. The paint is bubbling on the corners. I do have a new Awl TeQ reproduction rear sill that would go with the truck
Smokes a little on cold starts as of last summer - never used a drop of oil before that - believe to be valve guide seals. Compression is good on all cylinders
Broke the CB antenna off at Coal Mine last year and have not replaced it.
