Located in Ontario Canada.
I searched for months for a clean FJ55 to use as a basis for a HDT auto swap.
There is a lot of veneer trucks for sale, but i needed a solid unit to work with.
Word of mouth brought me to this one from PA. It is an excellent base to build from. solid frame. solid body, interior is acceptable.

Presently it has a HDT auto swap almost completed. so far, HDT auto installed with new hoses, water pump, timing belt, tensioner, BEB, shifter cable, 100 series exhaust dump, valve settings checked, front heater recored, rear heater tested and cleaned, pyro, water and oil gauges tastefully installed, HD engine and custom tranny mount, drive shafts with new Ujoints, recored rad with auto cooler installed, HD pusher fan, battery tray relocated, fuel filter housing, brake lines front and rear, vacuum line, fuel line return and inlet, air box and turbo lid, floor modified to allow for auto, interior heater lines, shift linkage modified, throttle linkage modified, wiring cleaned up, 3.70 diffs swapped in, 70 series rear axle modified and installed, rebuilt front and rear diffs complete, starter tested, alternator tested and refurbed, etc.
It has a previous owner installed Scout PS. custom made lines join the factory PS pump to the box.
The customer has changed his mind and is heading in a different direction.
All that is left to finish the swap is the exhaust, E/brake cable and handle, a bit of wiring and the shifter.
Once completed, this will be a very nice vehicle to drive.
This would make an excellent highway, back road or even daily driver vehicle with great acceleration, low highway RPMs, exceptional fuel mileage, comfortable ride.

Feel free to contact me at wayne@crushersrule.com for pics and discussion. i have the before refurb and present pics.

Actually it says "strongly suggested"...
A rebel I was born!

I'd been looking forward to a biblically proportioned thread on the build, to be disappointed by the first a classified ad....

Out of curiosity, A343F/HF2A(V)?

Not versed in HD-T transmission/transfer case options, but don't recall any being part time.

Full time t/case
Old school full hydraulic tranny
No electricals, well, just the basics
The idea was simplicity and reliability in the build
No build thread, no real time
5 builds on the go in a 2 man shop

some shots of the custom tranny mount, location of the battery tray and the air box

guys, i have missed some emails over the last couple weeks. too many builds on the go and not enough time.
if you have emailed me and i have not responded, i apologize and would ask you email again. this time i will respond.
i have pics of the truck before refurb by previous owner, during refurb, during trip here, during diesel install, full receipts, full documentation.
it will cost about $5K to finish the install.
cheers

Wow, it's hard to believe someone who had been waiting so long to build this decided to up and pull the plug. Hope to see more photos, someday.

I was shocked but his direction changed course
I might just end up keeping it
Wify said she liked the looks, summer driver only in this god forsaken part of the world

I can store it in a warmer (salt free) climate ...... For you, no charge.

as long as you take it for monthly drives to keep the engine running smoothly ...
what is the speed limit in that fair state?
