Hi guys,

This listing is for a friend of mine. He is selling his 1972 FJ40. It has a SBC 350 with a 3 speed manual, he just had the clutch done a few days ago. Has 4 wheel discs, 4 brand new Falken AT 31" tires, and some more goodies. The car has a brand new steel body tub (no rust anywhere). He doesnt have the hard top but it does come with a BEST top. The roll cage and bumpers were replaced. He replaced the wiring harness, the radiator, and the exhaust. Also has a lockable storage box.

The car has been painted with Rhino Liner, so it could use a regular paint job if you want, but it still looks cool. He recorded a video of it running a few months back which I included below. He has a clean CA title for the car. He is asking $8950

His name is Bryan and you can reach him at (310) 402-6877. The car is in Mission Valley, San Diego, CA.

Looks like a bad ass zombie killing rig that belongs in the Mojave. I dig it, GLWS.

Oddly enough, I like the Mad Max black. Agree with @RustyNailJustin - zombie rig!

@a77fj40 ya I’ve been watching this one for a while. I watch the San Diego cl like a hawk and it’s pretty slim pickings...this one will definitely need to find a particular buyer but it’s got its bad ass side to it

Yeah honestly I have been helping him to try and sell this thing for a while, its actually pretty cool in my opinion, and yeah it was on CL for a while, me and Bryan are both surprised it still hasnt sold. It really is super solid and has a lot of goodies.

It hasn't sold because the price is too high, plain and simple. that's a $4,000 to $5,000 truck all day long. 9 is a stretch. just my $0.02

Remove diamind plate, front bumper and J##P taillights and replace with stock to start if he wants 9K...my 2c

Is the new tub made of diamond plate? Or is it under the diamond plate?

Also, trying to figure out the circular rear fender lines.

That's a 1500 dollar truck. Not worth 9k. With all that diamond plate covering who knows what underneath it, I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole. The rattle can paint job doesn't fool anybody either. Remove the diamond plate, fix the rear wheel cutout, and even then it would only be worth 4k since the v8 devalues it quite a bit.

Sorry but I have to disagree, he has personally put a lot of time and ALOT of money into this thing himself. The tub is made of diamond plate. You are free to come see the car for rust if you would like but $1500 is a joke.

Rodger that. My dad once used a 50 cal. mounted on a Jeep (possibly an early Toyota contracted one) in the early 50's. Singed his driver with the muzzel blast. But he said he was OK with that, considering.
