Looks like the one that was here in Iowa Park for a while. He was asking $2500 when I looked at it but I already have a FJ40 to restore. From what I saw of it, it would have made a dang good Cruiser.

here are some of the pics along the way today, got a full 8 hours in and made some good progress. First pic is the rocker before I started, it looked ok but had some issues on the back side, second is the rocker removed and cleaned up ready for the nre panel, and third is the new panel installed.

Here are a few of the inner rocker I had to fab up, before and after and last picture is of the rocker in etch primer. I am thinking once I get all the obviouse rust fixed/relaced I am sending the tub to get soda blasted, thats why you dont see any body filler going on yet. Enjoy the pics and keep the coments comming, good for my motivation level

DavidW-I do believe that is where I got it. It was a small town outside Wichita Falls. The PO was a real nice guy, I spotted it on Ebay and called to ask what the reserve was (2K) and told him if it doesnt sell I will take it. I am planning on swaping the frame to a '77 I will pick up on Tuesday, other than the frame being bent/cut up in the rear, and the panels I replaced, the rest of the FJ looks real good for the age. Good to see another mudder in the area, well for TX its kinda local.

Another update: Had to alter my plans a bit today. I had intended on cleaning up a couple other spots and finishing the metal work on the tub but ended up pulling the tub off the frame to make room in the garage for a 1977 Im picking up tomorrow. Plan is to use the frame, PS, disk brakes, and roll bar from the 77 for my 70. Im hopeing it has a good frame, the body is rusted completely so I will have to wait and see tomorrow. I will post picks of the body removale and the new parts truck tomorrow.
