100% rebuilt from the frame up.
I built this as my dream truck and spared no expense, I have not installed lockers yet but that is basically the last thing that is needed (I have a powertrax locker being sold separately). I went through a third party brake and lamp inspection as well as DMV inspection (in California!) prior to being registered on the road. It is insured for $18,000. The only reason I’m selling this truck is work has relocated me overseas and due to the amount of modifications I cannot bring the truck with me. I cannot begin to add up the man hours of personal labor nor do I care to but I have receipts for ABSOLUTELY everything. I drive this truck as often as I can and there are no words to describe the feeling of driving this thing.
· Frame was sand blasted, treated with Por 15 and painted with flat black epoxy paint.
· There is not one single nut or bolt that has not been replaced with new (often grade 8) metric fasteners.
· It has a 2008 5.3 ltr Chevy Vortec and 4L60e transmission with 8000 miles on it when I purchased the engine and transmission (from the same vehicle, have receipt).
· Transmission is mated to the original stock transfer case with Advance Adapters twin stick shifters.
· Trans shifter is an Art Carr gate shifter.
· Engine/transmission wiring harness and computer flash built by Current Performance (have receipts).
· Entire truck rewired with a painless wire harness.
· Stock speedo with customized auto meter gauges built into factory gauge cluster.
· Dual stage electric fan. All gauges use electrical sending units. Fuel pump is recessed into stock gas tank, and the gas tank is sealed with Eastwood gas tank sealer.
· I built my own transfer case saver reinforced equally on both sides (very stout!)
· All adapters were purchased from Advance Adapters (have receipts).
· Front drive shaft is from Advance Adapters designed specifically for this conversion.
· High Steer from All Pro Off Road.
· Saginaw power steering.
· Rear drive shaft is a DC out of the front of an 85’ Toyota pickup.
· Front suspension is stock leaf springs with shackle reversal and spring over axle (axle cut and turned by Profits Cruisers).
· Rear axle suspension is a custom four link using Currie Enterprises Johnny Joints.
· Trailing arms were designed to be very long giving an excellent on road drive as well as amazing travel and articulation off road (have all suspension calculations).
· Wheel base stretched to 109 inches.
· Four wheel disc brakes.
· Full 3” custom exhaust tucked up between the frame rails wrapped with heat tape with a Magnaflo muffler.
· C6 Corvette center dump headers.
· Complete chromoly custom 6 point (family) roll cage tied into the frame.
· Entire body tub removed, body work performed and painted. Each individual body piece painted individually (ask the painter….HA! I spent many thousands with him).
· Brand new rain rail on hard top.
· Entire interior of the body tub has three coats (or more in places) of DuPont bed liner with Kevlar.
· Front driver and passenger door hinges have bronze pin bushings.
· Rear Ambulance Doors with all new rubber and seals.
· All glass has brand new seals, mostly factory Toyota when it was able to be purchased but otherwise good quality automotive replacement.
· Front Drive/pass doors have all brand new rubber, wipers, felt and seals. I even replaced the friggen wind wing rubber!!!
· Have brand new Toyota windshield that I have not yet installed (current windshield is in good shape). Stock windshield wipers and switch work Perfectly!
· Fully adjustable Honda Prelude seats.
· Tilt steering. Brand new heater core.
· Custom aluminum truck lock box (with keys).
· Custom swing out tire carrier with full size spare. 35” Procomp AT Extrems (including spare) on 17” FJ Cruiser Steelies.
· Custom front bumper with receiver hitch and custom tow bar.
It is an absolute head turner and you WILL get compliments anywhere you go. Most people don’t even realize it has a four link rear end until the stick their head under the truck. There are probably a few things I have missed but I believe that is an accurate representation of the truck and the work performed. During the build the paint job has suffered a few dings here and there. The painter still needs to repair a few areas but I just have not had the time to get it down to him. There are absolutely no fluid leaks. One thing that I would like to do is have the engine and transmission tuned on a dyno which I can have done for and extra fee. I have thousands (a lot) of pictures.
This is listed on ebay and craigslist OC.
