Built these yesterday, they are pretty much just to handle the frame since we will be restoring it. Keeps the thing mobile in the shop as well.

We have been focusing on another build the last few weeks while we wait for the parts to keep rolling in.

70-series FF rear axle is here. 80-series steering box is out for a rebuild. Got the bellhousing we need coming. Tcase is here, 87 FJ60 with the 38mm.

Had to make a decision on trans today. Wait u til mid March or pay more for it. It was decided not to wait. We really need the trans for mock up.

Front and rear Harrop elockers have been added to the build. :)

The 1HDFT from the UK finally landed in Seattle today. It came by sea to New Jersey and went by rail all the way to Seattle and now will get freighted to us. Saw the tracking today for the rail, man this engine has seen some states now!

Ordering our new H55 this week and sending out frame plus axle housing for blasting and it’s game on for the build.

Cheers

Man, you and Adam are killing it!

We got one last piece to get, the H55 and then we can start the layout. 1HDFT too I guess but it’s in route.

Cheers

Tearing into it...

It’s a bit crusty, I believe it lived on the coast but we are freshening it up and will be painting it as well.

So looks like we are upgrading to a GTurbo as well as injectors/pump upgrades. The exchange rate is excellent right now so the owner said lets do it!

Always a good plan. What's the thought for intercooler?

Couple quick searches don’t turn up anything in Australia so I think we will have to go custom vs a kit but we are putting one in, front mount.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with - I'm getting ready to put a 12HT into my 47, with a Gturbo or a custom built TD05H-16G and I don't want to go water to air, but would still like to have room for an AC condenser

Just about stripped down all the way, rest of the timing gears coming out and it’s done.

Engine if I recall right is under 200,000kms. We can tell it has had a timing belt done to it, injectors were clearly out for compression test which was 470-495psi so really don’t feel we need to do anything internally in the build.

Cheers
