Sand blasting the exhaust manifold and oil pan next, they are getting black. After that we will clean up all the aluminum and assemble.

Cheers

What’s that color on your engine? It’s awesome!

We gave my Craigslist blast cabinet a refresh today so I gave it a go after painting the engine.

Led lights, carbide nozzle, no leaks and fresh medium and those two pieces took about 45 minutes. :)

Cheers

Thanks for the info, but maybe I should have asked a better question- what type of paint? High heat? Automotive enamel? brand and color code?
thanks

The aluminum is a bit to corroded to polish up. So I blasting it and then will paint silver. The gold painted items are engine mounts frame side and gold paint is weld through primer.

We do have some detailing of the engine planned, going to wait until it’s done to say/show it.

However, we do have lots on new engine items such as this to dress it up. More in the works as well.

Going for a tasteful bit of bling, nothing loud or obnoxious but when you lift the hood on this truck, the response we are after is....”oh ya, sexy!”.

Great information, thanks a bunch! Beautiful work you’re doing there

A lot of engine hardware is really crusty. Could get it plated but instead decided to just order new. Hope to have all that by end of the week, in a day or two I will be ready to seal up the engine.

Cheers

Got a lot of parts to get cleaned up, painted if needed and ready for assembly.

My favorite part in a build is assembly of nice refreshed parts.

Got a big load of parts coming in on Monday so get more done on the engine next week. Injection pump shipped out to Gturbo a few days ago, now we just play the waiting game on that. Oh ya, got a billet flywheel and super nice clutch come from Australia as well.

Cheers
