A few things/thoughts:

I never get tired of discussing Porsche and Mercedes, but more Porsche.
That 356 in the Joplin video must be worth a small fortune.
I too have wanted a 356 for a long time, now with the economy in the s***ter, prices have come down, but so has any extra money I would have to buy one. :frown:
one of my favorite Porsche of all time is the 73 911S and the RS. Had an 73S once, should have never sold it. The RS is too rich for me.
The web site you sent me to, are those posters for sale? Very cool stuff.

wrote " back too 45`s because I don`t know if the other guys here
like our Porsche diskussions. :hhmm:
....Janis I like her voice and this song,
sorry can`t discuss Mercedes , know too little about them ;)
and yes they

(click Bestel) it`s ducht
Cheers

Recuperation

Well, I am in Germany and recuperating from my back surgery. So far so good. Too early to know for sure, but I think the docs fixed me up good. Sometimes I have to remind myself that we are not really on vacation we are having so much fun. I was able to visit the restaurant that Peter recommended. I also took a Porsche factory tour and went to the Porsche museum. I have pictures of almost every Porsche in the museum. That was very nice. I also bought a few really nice trucks. A VW 13 window camper van, a Unimog and last but not least a Toyota Land Cruiser. Got a really good deal on the package 14 euros for all three. ;)

Wish I could go for a ride in a 45. never driven in one before so mine will be the first. I did get a ride in a Land Rover 110 here in Germany. Did not know that they still made/sold those. In the US there were only 500 made in one year? and they are very expensive for what they are. I like the looks a lot, but I think they do not drive very well. The director of the hospital where I stay in Stenum has a Land Rover. If I did not have a Land Cruiser project, I might like a 110, but I would have to change the motor for a V8 and automatic.

Hey

Mark, glad to see that your spine refurb is working. If you want to see a nice LR 110 I will send some photos of mine. It is beautiful. My FJ40X is complete and will soon have some photos of it. We are building my Troopy softop currently. That one is going to be gorgeous. IT was rust free from Saudi desert. Still no progress on my wagon. Since I started my own resto company, we may go get the wagon and finish it our selves. Once again, I have given major dollars in advance to have it sit uncompleted.
