Called him today, he was at work and said that he had a ton of calls on it. Sounds nice, offered to buy for full price but he has been offered the same from 2 other buyers. One from AUS. he is sending me more pics tonight and said that he was going to have a bidding war on it. No telling what it will go for.

We can't let it go to Australia- it MUST stay in the US! I'm sick of the Aussies taking all our old rigs. Just yesterday I saw ANOTHER classic American muscle car on a car trailer here with a Mississippi plate. What a waste to have a car like that here.

I wonder how long he had it for sale prior to my bringing it to everyones attention here on Mud. I even think $8,000.00 is a good deal for the shape and originality that it is in. If I wasn't getting ready to deploy for a year I would have thought about handing him $5,000.00 in cash and be the proud owner of my dream FJ45 LWB Cruiser. Some day.....

I sat out the bidding war, called him back to see if it sold, he said nobody was pulling the trigger so I did. The truck has some small rust issues, bottom of doors, front drivers side of the top. But other than that the truck is solid.

I was under the assumption that anyone who participated in this "bidding war" would catch a lot of s*** from all of you at MUD. I requested pictures and when he returned my e-mail, he said that it had all ready beed sold for his high bid of $8000.00. (yes, I'm jealous!!)

It would be cool if you guys had the facts straight before posting comments like the above. I never bid 8 grand, when I spoke with the guy about the rig the price was already there. He told me that everyone wanted to bid but not buy, he told me he was waiting for a guy to call him that evening to seal the deal, he didnt seal it. So I told him I would take it at that price. Sorry if anyone is chapped....
