what is the price of the wing vent rubber Dave?

Oh and holy crap Matt! I can't believe how fast you work. I am going wheeling with the FJ Cruiser tomorrow. You'll probably be driving your LV when I get back.

Just got off the web and ordered up 1 roll of the JC whitney stuff for the doors, ZX132562T. Thanks for the info and link.

I know I need more, but I want to see it first before I get another or 3 more rolls. I would think 2 rolls would do it, but maybe not?

What is the price of the bug catcher rubber............I'm ready,de-fib unit is on stand by ;)

Ok, I'm back......I must be tight Mike, I'm going with, "Thank you sir may I have another!!"

I only said that because I have a set in the garage:D I paid 500 but they came with a big box of other LV goodies. Hopefully I'll forget what I paid eventually...

I remember when they were talking about making those rubbers on the LCML a long time ago. The tooling alone was going to be $6000. I remember about 6 guys being interested at the time and wondering about how to share the cost. $150 seems fine to me if they are correct. I'm just glad to see how much of this stuff is available now. When I had mine there was nothing available at all and no one was restoring LVs. This thread makes the concept of rebuilding a 45 wagon much less intimidating.

I just found this thread and read all the way from page 1 to here. I feel like I'm waiting on the next episode of LOST to see what will happen next with your LV.

Build is looking awesome. I doubt I'll ever have time, space, $$, to go to that level of detail on my 55, but I'm damn sure impressed.

Way to go.

... wow ...

Got about 8 hours in on the lv today, didn't try to hard, kinda all over the place today.

Got the lv out of the both and loaded up some more parts for paint and clear. Painted a bunch of wiper parts, parking brake parts and other misc. dash brackets black. Also cleared the steel steering column. Wife liked the color and the way it looked so much she wanted it left that way, so it got cleared.

Also took apart the dash and glove box door. I wasn't going to paint the speed head, but wanted to make sure it matched the glove box door so they both got fresh silver single stage ureathane.

Since I had the speedo apart I took the odometer apart. I'm sure this is probably illegal or something, but I thought it was appropriate ;)

Started putting stuff back in the dash and firewall, pics should say it all. Hopefully it paint is dry tomorrow, more stuff should be back in, if not all.
