Few more pics....1st one is Cruiserdan, myself and my wife, 2nd was of Dan's 80. (hope you didn't mind I posted a pic Dan, thought the thing was sweet).

3rd pic was of a ton of hot air balloons in Albequerque that morning. Dan said it was the largest hot airballon gathering in the US (world?) every year in New Mexico, something like 500 to 700 hot air balloons??

We just happened to be rolling into Albequerque that morning when it was happening :D

The grey and white lv is the one at TLC that had been sold and was in for service. Boy that thing was nice. You could tell that it had been use though, the service manager told me the guy who owns it drives it everyday. I like that :)

The blue and white lv is the one at spector, I believe the one they are restoring for Toyota. Very nice, and very well done.

Last pic, my buddy Scott and I standing at the ramp in Oceanside just after a morning ride in the surf.

Glad to know you made it home Matt..:D

There were no pics shot whilst we stuffed the fenders in the already overloaded truck....

I bet we could have wasted a full day visiting but I knew that they had places to go and people to see.

The Albuquerque International Ballon Fiesta is indeed the largest event of it's kind and is supposedly the most photographed event in the world. This year there are close to 900 Ballons registered but the field will allow only 700 to launch at one time.

Sorry I had the 80 "burried" in the front of the store. I would have moved it if you had asked..:D

Get them fenders hung so I can say I had a part in that beast...:flipoff2:

 D-

Few more pics....

1st one is some 4 door job TLC did for Toyota

2nd is a pic of there show room, very, very nice stuff.....

3rd, VW micro bus at the harbor at Oceanside.....why? Because I like old VW micro bus's, saw a ton of them and thought this one just looked cool. :D Guy is living the dream man!!!!!

Yea, should have had the wife running the camera while we wedged those things in, it was tight.

Thanks again for the good deal on the fenders, sure appreciate it!! :D And also taking the time to get out of bed on a Sunday morning and open up the Toyota dealership so I could get them, pretty cool of you to do that.

As soon as I wrap up my doors I will moving back to the fenders, should be in a few days hopfully. I would like to see them on there as well. :)

Thanks, Matt

WoooHooo, I was starting to go through withdrawls.

I know you have heard it a thousand times now, but you are a master. You do beautiful work. And thank you for coming back.

Now get to work and post more pics. :D

This FJ55 looks identical to my daughters truck. I was always curious if we got the color right but if that '55 is the factory color then we got it right!!

Yes. :bounce: It is about time. My fingers are bleeding and have them all taped up I was figiting so badly from not being able to see any progress in this thread. I was also pissed because I thought someone just posted something stupid like when is Matt getting back and there would be no pics or updates but alas I can sleep soundly tonight knowing that the work has started again and all is well in the world. Sweet pics sounds like an awesome trip. Love the pics of the bus that guy is living the dream, love the gallon water jug by the tire. classic. Sweet shot of you on TV touching WEEZER. I used to listen to the CD 24-7. Dig it out once and a while and remember the good ol days when I did not have any bills and washed dishes at the country club and bought my first cruiser. :D
Man this thing is coming along so nicely. Can not wait to see it progressing some more. Love the journey can not wait to get to the destination. What is your expected time of completion now. I know it will be rough but know you have a rough one. Just curious. You are moving so FAST.

Welcome back Matt... glad to see your trip was a success...

I was going to start working on my rig, but then decided not to because yours has new Matt Posts.

Did TreeRoot give you an LV sticker?

Again sweet work! Nice jetskis too, love the ones that take some skill to ride, that won't sit there and let you clamber on without dumping you off. Just like so many Cruisers, not exactly a point-and-shoot operation. Too cool, I love it. That LV is gonna rock.

Sorry not to hijack but? Crusier guy and or anyone.. Is that green on that 55 the T-1028 spring green it looks a touch darker.. Would like the paint code #.. Still looking for color options myself.
Welcome back.. It's like reality Cruiser tv ..

Get your Matt-ification T-shirts right here folks....

Matt you have such a large fan club...its amazing!! Its like a following...

I think I am going to start marketing your own t-shirt or bumber stickers. 50-50 sound good? ;) haha jk man

Let me see if my daughter still has the color code for it. I know I got it from the source for all LandCruiser memoribilia, Landpimp! You might want to PM him. He can probably get it for you faster than I can.

Got about another 2.5 hours on the lv last night, had a really good night.

Got all 4 door jams welded and ground down, also got all 4 door strikers welded and ground down.

The strikers have that lip now on the door edge side, but are flush on the face of the door. The have that lip because as I said earlier, the new striker is right up against the window tracks on the inside of the door, best I could do. At this point they all will need a 1/16" layer of plastic tapered down to nothing on the door itself to feather out that lip, should look awesome when done.

Everything still needs to be primed. I have a few more misc. holes that needed to be welded and cleaned up so I'll probably wait until then.

Got to work this weekend so little will probably happen. Hopefully I can start mounting those fenders in a couple days or so.

Also, pic of me and the wife out in the ocean last weekend.

Wife and I last week out in the ocean at Oceanside, CA.

Didn't get any pics, but quite a few dolphins when we were out there playing around us about 50ft away.
