Im thinking about trying als heat and noise stuff on cab. Then liner to try and stifle heat and noise. Cant hurt. I cooked myself out of the 40 before. Lookin great mike

Thanks Erik. Hadn't heard of the Als liner. Had a look online. Interesting that it looks like a laytex based product and cleans up with soap and water. I'll be curious to hear how it holds up compared to something like Raptor or Monsta. The price of Als definitely looks attractive.

Have the gas tank fuel sender and pickup/vent mounted in the tank. Tank mounted to underside of bed. Fuel and vent lines are also mounted to underside of bed. Fuel vent valve is mounted. Just about to drop the bed back on the frame hopefully for the final time. :)

Bed is mounted back on the frame. Lower cab is off and on the rotissere, sanded, sealed and painted.

Haha. Yeah, once you get to certain age you get CRS so to find anything in the garage, I have to stop and force myself to clean up otherwise I spend more time looking for parts and tools instead of making progress. the 45 run may finally be a real possibility this year. :)

Last weekend, snapped a few pics of the drivetrain before dropping the cab back on. Forgot to post those up so here they are.

Heat shrink might have been easier. I used a bicycle inner tube.

It is good to start putting stuff together one last time but for some reason I'm having some trouble gaining space back.

More than enough shifters to confuse me. And still have one more to install.

Wondering what you are planning for the rear bumper and tail-lights.
For now something simple. I picked up some 3/16 wall rectangle tube. Will inset the tail lights in the bumper. I plan to use some oval trailer stop turn lights. Plan to eventually build a swing out carrier for the spare.

Looking awesome. Makes me want to go play in the garage.....

Holy awesome! Looks really good mate. I always follow this thread but never really say much. What are the numbers on your shift levers for?

Those are goofy TG knobs. One has 2.28 and the other has 2wd 4wd. 2.28 because the doubler has a 2.28:1 low range ratio. 2wd 4wd shifts in/out the front drive. The other without any num or letters is the tcase hi/lo shifter. This one has a 3:1 ratio. Obvious, but the tall shifter is for the 700r4 auto.

I Plan to change out the TG knobs To something else but haven't yet picked up replacements.
