Doh. No clips. Valiant effort to sync the wipers tho.

Figure it out yet? Just curious if it'll work out.

Would have to relocate at least two of the top cap latches. Not sure yet if I'm going to go this route or not. I'm likely not going to be driving in a lot of rainy weather so I may just go with the stock setup.

Was hoping I could just drill new holes for the wiper assy...but not so easy.

Heater refresh:
disassembled
found broken mount tab on heater core. resoldered to tank
pressure tested core - good

oh, I have a new instruction sticker and part label. Will wait until the paint has cured for a few weeks before applying.

Paint is from Summit, their 2k urethane. I mixed a couple different ones to get closer to the shade of silver I was looking for. Not exactly the color I wanted, but close enough...

S***ting tins, I've just been through this build from pg 1:clap:. Unbeleivable. Your workmanship and attention to detail is just second to none. I'm in absolute awe. Well done bud.

Sealer and surfacer on the bed. Now more sanding but getting close to adding some color.

Finally got some color on the bed and tailgate, that is if you consider white a color.

Hi Mike
is that going to be the color ? looks good, can't remember we talked about many possibilities in the past, it does look nice to see that you have some paint on it, you are inching closer.

Well what ever it is looks great, be exciting to see the whole project done, BTW my 45 is on the road well sorta still working out the little things. Sitting for 15 years took its tole on many things.

Weather was not very cooperative this weekend but I did manage to get some bed liner sprayed.

Mike, the bed liner looks great. Exactly what I have planned for my rig in the bed and lower part of cab interior, under the bed and cab too. Looks like yours will be on the road in time for summer for sure.

Thanks Steve. Really hoping to have it road ready this year.
Once the bed liner is well cured, I'll drop the bed back on the frame and then put the cab on the rotisserie and prep the cab for paint/liner.
I'm also planning to use the liner on the cab floor and under the cab. Hoping to dampen some of the noise.
If I have enough left over after that, I'll also shoot it under the front fenders.

I lined the inside and bottom of my cab 16 years ago and it looked new still till the day I sold it! It was rhino line at the time and it was 1/4 inch thick.Didnt do much for the big block chevy in the noise and heat department, but Im sure it helped a little! Cant wait to see both of your 45's...

I went with the DIY liner Monstaliner. Happy with the end result and I like the look and texture much better than other diy liners I've used previously. Not sure how well it will dampen noise but it has to be better than painted steel.

Bolted on the flares. These are ok for now but I may need to get some wider ones. These won't be very useful in wet weather.
