What are the little brackets with wing nuts? Looks like something to keep your edges tight for welding but could I see a better pic? Where did you get them or did you build them?

I haven't had any updates lately as I've been side-tracked on another project. However, the other project is related to the fj45. I'm attempting to build a tool to fabricate some of the pieces that I will need to complete the bed. Its been a little more difficult than I thought and it turned out to be a bit of trial and error. Today, I had some results that look promising, so I'm hoping to have some pictures to share soon.

OK, finally got some more stuff to share. After several attempts to make a tool to form or shape sheetmetal, I finally acheived the results I was hoping to get. Here's a picture of a test piece I was using to see if the dies were correct to get the shape I wanted for the floor of the bed. Then I had to figure out the shrinkage of the metal after being shaped so I could determine the spacing to correctly span a 40" center section of the bed.

After doing some calculations, I settled on the spacing I needed and then went to work on this 63"L x 48"W piece of 18ga. Once I have it shaped, I will trim it to 40" wide to fit the center section of the bed. The length I need is 63" so that part is already the final dimension.

The dies I made make a single ridge, or 4 bends at one time. Here's the first one completed. Only 14 more to go for this piece! These 2 pictures show a single jack but I'm using 3 rated at 20 tons each.

Next piece is the front of the box. Here's the original. The bottom drivers side is rusted out and a part of the bottom lip is missing. I had already drilled out the spot welds on the braces so they are just sitting there for show at this point...

Here's the new one I made on the same shaping tool. The 90 degree bend was made with a different set of dies. I forgot to take any pics when I was making this piece.
