Dash, outside of tub stripped. Just a couple of small rust hole areas, and some bent up metal.
Progressing slowly, temperature 11 degrees (I know for some of you that might be considered a heat wave..but here it's rare).

It's been awhile since posting..we bought a rental house that we've spent the last few months renovating. Rented out now, so back to the 40.
Pictures to follow.

To bring you up to date, I decided to veer a bit from total originality (not too much).
I will retain the Weber carb (purchased the adaptor to retain stock air cleaner), the Delco Remy Alternator, purchase an aftermarket wiring kit, and I will mix my own paint color (a tan color).
There has been progress made the last month or so, I'll post pics.

Really? Toyota had some really nice colors for 40s back in the 60s. A awful lot of 40s are painted tan these days.

I agree they did, but I like mixing my own colors..and tan works for me.
I assess my vision of the completed look of the build..colors that are complimented by trim, chrome etc, and by mixing my own color it is unique to my build. There may be "an awful lot of 40's painted tan"..they aren't the same tone as mine.
Thanks for the reply.

So, I finished the tub body work.
Some hammer and dolly work, a bit of metal replacement (bent up metal, and a couple of light rust areas)..and primer.
