Maybe you’ll come across a corrugated top with doors. I saw a couple sets on CL recently. All west coast of course.

I would like an oem style soft top with hardtop doors. Black to match the seats I bought and be a good contrast to the red.

It’s not impossible I guess. I think it’d cost around $2k for the top and bows. The soft doors pop up from time to time. Usually around $500.

My Dad was over helping and got all the crappy undercoating off the inside of the front fenders. I got my gas tank back and fitted with new hold downs.

Those spoke wheels and tires are going to look awesome on this rig :p

So cool what a can of spray paint can produce! Looks great!

You might know and already be using this but figured I’d mention. I picked one of these up a few month ago and it has made rattle canning so much less finger fatiguing! Used it on both style push buttons and it works great.

Thanks. I think I have one of those somewhere. I will have to find it and give a go.

Those are early Studebaker wheels off a really large car. They are probably taller than the pizza cutters on the 40 now.

nope...i rescued it a while back and sold the side panels and rear door off to someone out east. i still have the damaged fiberglass, but since it would be a fortune to ship, i'll probably pitch it.

For now, I am just focusing on getting this one running and driving.

It was like Xmas today. My new seats, some used driveshafts and some other parts arrived.

Got the gas tank installed and ready for plumbing too.

Got the driveshafts off to be rebuilt. Then came home and got the fuel system all plumbed. I still need to redrill / index the fuel sender for the older tank though.
Just a few hours everyday and it's getting closer.:grinpimp:

I’m honestly inspired by this rattle ran rebuild. I’m amazed of how the old girl is coming back to life before our eyes on a smart budget! Some paint, repurposed parts, new oem parts, effort backed by experience... and boom, awesome end result.

I seriously think this will be the template that I’ll do my best to emulate when I finally start on my 45!

Anything special about the tank fill hose? Nice!
