Been filling holes and hammering stuff back into shape. Got my panels made for the rocker too. Thanks to a friend with a awesome shop.

Actually, mystery "maybe" figured out on the brake banjo fittings. Note the location of JackA's shock mount, it's above the spring packs. Mine (and Jim C.s on his early FJ45) mount below the spring packs, on the u-joint plate or whatever it's called. The above-mount precludes the use of the L bango fittings, requiring the V fittings (line comes in from above). Looks like it's a 40 versus 45 shock mount difference. Ok, now the hijack is officially over (yeah, right!)

That rattle can painting and patch work looks awesome!

Still rolling along but no pictures. I did get the whole title thing all squared away and I am now legit. Hopefully i will make some good progress later this week.

Seminole red = winner!
Did you get this matched somewhere Jack?

It's Rustoleum Regal Red. I just eye balled it. This truck was originally red.

Looks pretty darn close to Seminole! Nice!

Since this is the rattle can rebuild, my prep work is a bit lacking. I will just use the technique a friend that was in the Navy told me about.
Once for rust, once for dust. This is referring to the painting....lol. It will be a 10 footer at best. I will help blend the paint by then driving thru the brush.

Rattle rattle rattle. Did you rattle the underside?

Looking at your toolbox (like my 63) I’m wondering what you have for seat options. If they’re originalish post plenty of pics (for my edification).

Getting there, way better than a not caring for vehicle patina build. Are you counting cans? Last rattle can I did was on my wife's 65/40 back in 1976, It took 24 cans of refrigerator epoxy paint. John

I did not paint the underside. Some PO sprayed the bottom of the tub and frame with some thick under coating. I am just leaving it as is under there.

As for seats, originals are long gone. I plan to build my own split bench and make it accomadate my tall self.

I forgot to count the cans of red from the start. The tub took 7 cans for two coats.

Actually, it goes "once for the dust and twice for the rust", as the deck apes on the ship used to say...

Looking good, Jack. When's it go up for sale?

It's a good technique for the rattle can. Once this one is finished, I will drive it and take it on a few wheeling trips. Then probably sell it and do it all over again.

Got some paint on the bumper tonite.
