Finally got the parking brake/4wd engage boot on and rear seats installed.

Im going to miss the boot not being there, with the boot off and the opening being inline with the exhaust, it makes a great heater for the driver.

Did a few things before i pulled the FJ25 out this fall.

I put a FJ40 skid plate on. I cut it down to be same size as FJ25 skid plate

Fixed up rear view mirror.

The striker plate on a FJ40 is different than a FJ25 HT so i made my own safety strap mount so i could be safer with the doors off.

Did you just pry on the rear view mirror bezel/surround with a screwdriver to get the glass out? I need to fix a broken rivet on my early mirror?

I was reading a thread in the classifies where Cruiser Nerd had mentioned replacing glass on the early rear view mirrors. Im in the middle of doing this right now, so i thought i would share what i have done. First i media blasted the back of mirror to clean up the seam. Then i pried the seam...

Went on a little tour today. The STA Super Traxions did really well in some steep loose rocky areas.

Went on one more tour before the snow showed up. My friend recently bought a 72 FJ40, so took it out for his maiden dirt road tour.

This was a view of Lake Tahoe yesterday. Everything you see now has about 4" of snow on it.
