It seems as if 17" is a forgotten wheel size for 100 Series Cruisers, and 5x150 trucks in general.

I really want to find a nice set of 17 x 8" - 9" alloy wheels to use with 285/70 or 295/70 A/T tires. By "nice" I mean high-quality with a clean, classy look, not a wheel that every lifted F350 and Duramax has on it! Light-weight/forged would be a bonus. Even though I am willing to spend up to ~$700/wheel I can find the right wheels.

The best option I have some up with so far is the stock Toyota 17x8" from the '03+ Cruisers (https://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-cruisers/484014-17-factory-wheels-please-help-identify.html) and although it would work fine on my rig I would prefer something a bit more exciting looking and with a slightly more aggressive offset. I looooove the Volk TE37s ( RAYS CO., LTD.) but they only come in 18x9" 0 offset or 18x9.5" +55, neither of which is what I want to use. The optional forged TRD wheel for the Tundra looks ok but spacers are required to fit them on a 100 Series.

Any suggestions? Maybe a finders fee for the best wheel :hhmm:

I hadn't heard that Tundra wheels require spacers. Where did you see that?

Thanks,
G/L with the quest.

I don't think these will fit the lug pattern, but they are by far my favorite wheel.

Or, maybe these do fit... anyone got these on the LC now. Pics?

The 17x8" +50 TRD Rock Warrior wheels will fit a 100 Series if you use them with wheel spacers. IIRC, you need at least 1" spacers on the front to make them fit with the center caps. I am considering these wheels because I haven't found a better option.

Did NA 100 not come with stock 17's?

I thought the 18's were an option?

heres a crappy pic, hope you can make it out. they look pretty tuff in person

The rock warrior wheels need a 1/4" spacer up front and none in the rear. You can even weld the spacer to the wheel if you want. There will be enough threads on the OEM studs. The front caps won't fit though.

Alternatively, you can have the metal area around the center cap bored out... it's only a small amount of material and just maybe 1/4" thick. Again, you won't be able to use the center caps.

Also, the 200 series has 17" alloy wheels that will likely fit... but the wheel isn't that nice looking either. Search for mexican market 200's and you should be able to see the wheels and I believe any US dealer should be able to order them. See Type A below.

Nice. Do you are additional pictures? Are you using 285/70-17 tires? Spacer type and size?

not my ride, mine is the cool one, with gouged 16" wheels and no dust caps :grinpimp:

sorry i dont know what my buddy did for fitment. he works at trd, and his shop pimps his ride, so its probable that even he doesnt know :grinpimp: :grinpimp:

Sorry for the teeny hijack but will 2007 18" Tundra TRD wheels fit the 100 with no mods (not counting wheel caps).

I'm fairly certain they will, there are a handful of guys on here with them.

I ran some steel 18s like Loud has for while my stockers were being coated, they required a different lug nut but that was all.

I found a set with 295/70/18 Nitto Terra Gs w/ 5k on them for $500. Since they are exactly the same size as what I am currently running I was thinking that they would make an ideal city set and then I could throw my Trail Gs on for the weekends and trips.

Hijack over...

If you are looking for non-toyota options, you can get mickey thompson classic II's in 17s

Anyone have any experience with these?

Slim pickins and I was running short on time so I ordered a set of these. I already have spacers so the installation should go smoothly.
