If you wouldn't mind, these look like the perfect rims. Then maybe a 235 BFG.
Thank you
Firstly, corect my terms if I don't use them properly.
By backspacing I actually mean the distance from the inner surface of the central wheel disk (at the studs) to the rim lip (place a straight piece of wood across the rim and measure from the inside mating surface to the underside of that peice of wood).
By rim width I mean the inside width at the rim lip
So... the 16 inch Toyota rim is: 6 inches wide and "backspacing" is 3.5". OTOH, the old style OEM 60 series white rim is 6 inches wide (but 15 inches in diameter) and the "backspacing" is 3.25 inches.
In other words, the 16 injch wheel will make the track (1/4 nch x 2) narrower than the original (on a 60). Of course, it also depends on the tire you are using.
This rim is ideal for a truck type 235/85R16, but is probably a bit narrow for the larger "MUD" 255/85R16.
On my 80 series I have used this rim with the 235/85R16 W985 Blizzaks, a tire that is not great for holding the road when taken at speed in bumpy curves, but that has proven great for pure grip on ice and packed snow and quite durable on top of that. Drawback, poor handling at speed and a fairly harsh ride.
I don't know about the BFG, sorry can't comment. What is intended use?
