1992 - 1995 Toyota Pickup 4WD 16" x 6" Steel Wheel | Lifetime Warranty

Well, I'm looking for a set of steel wheels for my fj62. Been considering Fj40 15' steelies, Non usa spec 16" splits, and then I found this wheel. I can't find a picture of it anywhere and not sure if it will fit.

Its a toyota pickup 16x6 steel wheel. Anyone know anything about these wheels? Its got a toyota part # on it. Called a local dealership and the wheel didn't even show up in their system but did come up when I gave them the part #.

Anyone know if this wheel looks like the FJ40 steelies and the Non USA split wheels?

It may be great for people looking to run a simple 16" wheel but don't want to fool with the danger and hassle of the split rims.

i had the part # somewhere but lost it... it's a basic wheel 5 or 6 spoke but looks cool... came on lower model trucks..
4-5" bs////the part # in the faq under wheels and tires after market wheels

Why don't you get some of those:
16 inch Skinny LJ78 Steel Wheel.webp

That one is silver (42601-60262-03), but I reckon they make them in black and in white (different last couple of numbers).

Great on a 60, great on an 80. Perfect for skinnies. I love 'em :)

Now, if they could meke 'em in Stainless Steel, it would be perfect :)

I have those on my BJ60 and my FJ80. Plus I have winter ones too... plus a spare and I bought some for my M101 trailer....you could say I like em too... :)

I have a stock set of wheels that I just pulled off my 62 if your interested

Thanks for the input guys and replies.

I've got a stock set of chrome ones on my 62 right now. I'm really looking for a set of 16 inch non split wheels that look like the fj40 solid steel wheels that take the hub caps or the split rims. But it appears that these wheels dont exist, at least I cant find any.

I thought that the 16x6 steel pickup wheels would be styled like the fj40 steel wheel but it appears that they are not.

I'd love a set of the stock 16" chromies, except for the exorbitant cost.

Most of the Toy pickup wheels, especially those meant for IFS trucks will have serious backspacing issues, You'll have to run anywhere from 1 - 1.5" spacers to get them to not rub.

RredFJ40, WHERE did you locate these 16" chromies? Are these the used stuff SOR wants $350 each for, USED? If so, you can add my vote to your use of the term "exhorbitant"... BTW, that's pretty much what Toyota Canada wanted a few years ago for their stock OEM 15" chromies.... NO THANKS!!!

I just wish there were places where stainless steel versions could be made. At that price, it may well be interesting, as these wheels would be guaranteed not to rust ever (in 316 SS, at least ;) )

Nice resto, brownbear!

I've had the same wheels on for a year now, really nice. I was afraid they would rust right away in our salty winter, but there is only some minor staining at the interface disc/torus... As you know this wheel includes a central disk with has a bent lip where it's welded to the torus section... Not as good as the straight weld of the OEM chromies, IMO... So, we'll see how they hold up in time!

thanks. Yah I bought my first set over three years ago. Ran a winter now on them. My first set for my 60 ended up on my 80 too. I do have a couple specks of rust, but very minor. I bet they last a long time. If they should start to rust you can always have them sand blasted and powder coated.

I pay 80 cnd for them. SO not really expensive. And they fit really good with no interference issues at all. Just don't expect to run wider than 10.5 inches on them for a tire. I run 9.5 inch tires now. My next ones will be 255/85 r16 or 255/100 r16(9.00 x16 XZL) Depends on if I can find them or not.

Yes, likewise!!! I've tried to find 255/85 in NON-MUD (for the hard-surface, asphalt-covered trails we call roads around here) but haven't been able to...

That's affirmative. Stock 16" chromes that look just like the stock 15" chromes.

Isn't that picture you posted of the stock chromes? In 15 or 16? If not their the spittin' image. What was the cost on those?

They ARE expensive, aren't they!... I look on ebay AU from time to time for them and I sourced some at some point, but transport was simply too costly.

Nope, those are the 16" Toyota "Skinny Steelies". I have them on my truck, they are the same as Brownbear's, fit the 60 and the 80 series just fine. Perfect for 235/85R16s. Available in Canada for around $80 at the dealer, but about $130 in the US, I suppose they are made here in Canada, otherwise how can you explain the price difference?

Although they are not chrome, they look pretty good nevertheless. The coating has survived one salty canadian winter with only a very slight staining at the interior seam where the disk welds to the rim itself, but it's very slight and can probably be controlled with penetrating oil and vaseline...

They are almost identical in backspace (I believe by 1/2 inch) and width and they fit on the BJ60 so in essence, yes they should fit.

If you insist I'll take a closer look and measure, I have one of both lying around.
