Yes very nice! I have to get used to the bigger tires but with the 205 I get stuck even when I turn the car in the field in front of our house when the corn is gone (in a few weeks).
So I want fat tires and keep the original 16 but I don't want spacers and no rubbing making a turn.
i have just bought split rims, so I will need to learn how this works and find the correct tires!
Aldo the forum is full of info the tires are far to expensive to make a mistake in ordering!
So please can you tell me what will fit (I now finally understand that 235/85 means 85 % of 235

)
So the 205/80=164
235/85=200
Bomar stated 255.85.16 is impossible, good, I think 235/85/16 is the only alternative.
John Galt says: running LT235-85s and LT 265-75s on 16 original.
1967 TLC ordered 16 in. x 7 in., 6 x 5.5 in." that is like the original 16. Your old originals were kind of warped and in the pictures you are using the same 33 x 10.5 BFG MT tire right?

So the cheapest 235/85 R16 nankang is 115 euro,
and for 155 euro = General GRABBER AT 235/85 R16 best Offroad Award 2011

Lol here is my copy/paste info I keep in my email draft folder, no offence to anyone intended but choosing the tire life is hard and expensive
Luckily the 205 are some kind of concrete metal rubber mix because they don't wear at all.
15 inch aluminium set: 32x11.50 r15 113R m+s lt x=unknown
16 inch set: 205 r16 104s original 8x16 wheel
the stock 16" split rim width is 5.5" unless they have been widened. The more posts I read about this rim, it seems 235 85 R16s are the way to go
235/85 r16 =fine
255=max? = 285/75/R16
255/85/16s
Anything between 245/75 and 285/75 goes well on a 8x16 wheel
305/70R16 ~ 33" diameter
285/75R16 ~ 33" diameter
A 285/75/16 is roughly a 33x11.22x16
EG: 305/70/16= A section width thru the center of the carcass of 305 mm (12.01 inches).
An aspect ratio of 70%, the sidewall is 70% as tall as the section is wide, .7 x 305 = 213.5mm or 8.41 inches.
So, 8.41x2=16.81 + 16 =32.81 inches tall (or 33x12.00x16)

nice look 16= 235/85's fat and high
