I have a real first world problem. 😊. I’m over landing in 15 degree Utah weather and I can’t get my power unit to charge to run my electric blanket at night.

My 120VAC plug is not working. Does anyone know where its fuse is located?

Brrr. Sounds like an adventure!

What type of adapter are you trying to power? The stock 120V inverter will cut-off at anything much over 100W draw. I couldn't power a 60W charger for my Goal Zero as it drew something like ~115W IIRC.

Sorry, I don't know where the fuse lies.

Trying to plug in a Jackery Explorer 1000v2. I have a cigarette lighter plug that isn’t working so I was going to try the 120vac plug. I’ve read mixed trying with AC but that’s my only option. I can’t see any juice the an electrical tester so suspect a fuse before I even get far enough to plug in the Jackery.

Should be in the drivers side panel under the dash, labeled "Inverter". The online diagram shows it's Fuse 31 and a 15a fuse. It's unlikely that the fuse is blown and is likely that you are tripping the inverter's internal self-resetting breaker. As @TeCKis300 mentioned, a stiff breeze will trigger that breaker. So it is unlikely that you can even try to plug 1000wh battery into it. Unless you can really dial back the charge settings.

Also, it may or may not be needed to say, but the inverter only works with ignition on.

Also, here is a pretty awesome post for fuse and circuit info.

It's rated for 100w but my 100w laptop charging brick would trip the breaker immediately. I wouldn't count on getting anything more than about 60w out of it, and yes the ignition must be on.

Keep in mind the whole thing runs on a single 15a fuse.. the same as the cigarette lighter sockets. Then you have to take into consideration the inherent efficiency loss of inverting DC to AC.

From what I read of the specs, there is no way the Jackery will charge from the cargo outlet.

Yep it charges at 160 watts so I’m out a luck.

I’d still like to know what fuse it is.

Thank you. I’ll take a look. I didn’t know there were fuses there.

I have an ARB Zero dual zone fridge and it wouldn’t power it. But my smaller arb classic fridge will.

I’ve been able to charge an efficient laptop with it (but not others that were more power hungry) and my 10w charger for my Gooloo jump pack. Pretty much everything else trips the breaker. I assume it probably gets worse as they get older as well.
