I'm terrified to hit refresh and then see like 20 alerts in the upper right. I'm sure Chris and Stan are doing their damndest to make this thing happen. Pretty sure they know everyone wants it to happen....even if we are required to wear Hazmat suits LOL

*HIHXUPDATE*

Chris and I have been on conference calls with Silverton's mayor, the Town Board, two business owners and the Chamber of Commerce over the last week. We've decided to give this one more week since there is *supposed* to be another loosening of the gathering restrictions. As of right now, the gathering limit is still 10. We have 388. The business owners of Silverton VERY much want us there as we obviously provide an enormous economic impact on their community.

I promise that we're on it. We're doing everything possible and covering all possibilities. We will not go beyond the new date of June 7th and may even have something sooner if the new restrictions allow us to either hold the event, or force us to postpone/cancel.

If the event is cancelled:

-we will begin the process of refunds right away (minus $12-$15 for Eventbrite/paypal fees)
-your spot for HIHX will be SECURED for next year (more on this at a later date)
-we are working on an alternative right now

If the event happens:

-we MUST abide by all local and state orders (our permits and insurance could be revoked if we do not)
-we will allow cancelations and issue refunds if you do not feel comfortable around others or you do not (or medically cannot) wear a mask/face covering (if required by state or local orders)
-we will abide by the town's camping and distancing requirements which may force some to camp at an alternate location we're working on. (very close to Kendall)

You guys are the BEST! Thanks for working so hard to make this potentially happen! I know last year was such a headache to organize after all the avalanches and trail run reorganizations, but you and the rest of the team did such a phenomenal job pulling it off and keeping it fun for everyone. Just want to say we all appreciate what you and your team do.

If it gets cancelled, I know of a secret gathering that's in the works :grinpimp:

Thanks for everything @paflytyer and @Blue Cruiser . I can only imagine how tough this has been. I know you guys are working hard to make this happen!

You were a huge help to us last year by leading a few of those new trails we had to come up with. Thanks again!

We're starting to show a little blue tinge to our faces, and may be a little lightheaded, but we will patiently continue holding our breath and hitting refresh, while thinking "happy thoughts" about it "happening" this year, as we finish our last few bits of preparation.

Y’all got me anxiously reading this thread like I am going. Truly hope you guys can enjoy this, from an hih8 attendee.
Now, back to searching about cvs and droop.

Thanks for all your work on this, guys. I know it’s been insane.

Leaving for HIHX today even though we won’t be going straight to Colorado. We will be stopping in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and other points yet to be determined. Just to hot in Vegas.

Hopefully we didn’t forget to pack anything.

Bet that RV gets better fuel economy than the 100 LOL!

Stop giving my wife ideas. She already wants an RV. If she sees this, she'll be convinced we can both have our cake and eat it too!

Very cool setup, in all seriousness. What a way to travel!

Do you have to disconnect driveshafts to tow the 100 this way?
