Eww. Why?
Have you considered mounting KC lights on your hood?

Soooo what's wrong with the "cosmetics" the way it sits. I'm mean really, if this is a look you like than go for it but take a step bake and ask yourself if it really looks good and why you want to spend the money on it. Ultimately it's yours and no one will second guess you...well actually they will but they will get over it. Just realize that there are a lot of negatives and even the looks are questionable to most people.
I think one of the issues is that if you happen to bump into something with your tail light (and I have), the tail light is designed to break but save the bodywork. With the tail light guards, you are directing all of the impact force to the body work, thus increasing the damage zone. It is more expensive to repair the rear quarter panel than to pop a new tail light into place. Think of it as a rear damage multiplier.
At the end of the day it is your truck and you really should pay us no mind as long as you are pleased with the results.
These are good for hanging your skivies to dry after an afternoon of swiming or other wet skivies type activites.
You can also weave pine needles around them to be holidayish during christmas.
They also serve as a good ladder for the neighborhood gnomes trying to get to your rooftop.
Do you still have the taillight guards?I have those collecting dust in my garage. More than welcome to have them if you pay for shipping (I'm in GA).
