Bumping this as it needs more attention in this community. A SAS is cool and all, but a coilover conversion is a more reasonable approach to the way most 100 owners use their vehicles.

This is never going to happen. Did you check out the website linked from the original post? They don't make anything long-travel or SAS for any of the vehicle models on their site, some bumpers, some brackets, some tool tootsie rolls and that's about it. Their stuff is nice but I just don't see it happening.

And their last reply doesn't instill any confidence either.

If you want it, get camburg racing to build you some upper and lower control arms with a coil over, extended FDS, probably a new subframe in the front too...that's the quickest it's going to happen!

A vendor that was trying to sell a kit:

A member that did a creative one off for himself:

I’m pretty sure we all know that a conversion kit for the 100 is a long shot at best. The larger shops like camburg have probably determined long ago that their efforts spent in a small market wouldn’t be worthwhile. We’ve already seen that a conversion is possible and not an unreasonable task. If a small company that already focuses in the niche land cruiser market has enough interest to put the effort in, it costs us nothing to show interest and sit back and watch.

Whether this happens or not, I do expect the aftermarket support for the 100 to continue to grow. It wasn’t that long ago that we had only a couple options for bumpers or aftermarket wheels. As these trucks have become more affordable, more people (there’s 11,000 in just the one Facebook group now) have been willing to spend money on mods. Some of these long shots may actually come to fruition, and many of us see the torsion bar as the main limitation for this platform.

Did you see the pic in first post? That was built by us, along with the rest of that TT chassis, and world record holding landspeed vehicle.

If you’re not going to do it, please don’t stand in the way of those who are doing it.

I’m not in the way, just discussing reality based on your responses to updates.

Seems you are in your own way!

All BS aside, develop it and get it for sale and stop posting Nooooooope memes.

And edit: no vehicles on your site have a long travel kit available. Exactly what I said above.

K. I’ll stop answering questions I guess. Thanks for the tip.

While you are taking directions from a consumer, a non smart-ass update on what you've done development-wise would be helpful.

I cannot wait for the coil over conversion!! Even if phase two never comes to fruition, I will be so happy to have a coil over kit.

Same here. Excited for something to show up.
