I don’t know why a bunch of people who aren’t interested in a LT kit are being discouraging lol
You’ll get that on these bigger jobs

For all of those interested, I have been talking to Chris at KOR about doing a coilover conversion on my 2004 100 series. KOR is still in business, and he is still doing these conversion on the 100 series but has not been marketing the product at all.

See below for the quote.

Total Chaos UCAs: $840
KOR LCA and Shock Mounts: $2,950
KOR Fab Diff Drop Kit: $350 (I have a Slee one, so don't need this)
Bump Cans and Mounting Plates: $250
King 2.0 x 2 Bump Stops: $535
King Shocks: $2,250
Total Parts: $7,715
(+) Labor for Installation: $3,500
Total Parts + Labor: $10,675

Given the price, I am debating working with a shop in Southern California to make a RCLT HD-type kit for the 100 series, as it will not cost that much more than this (custom fab would obviously be more expensive, but the performance improvements would be significant for the incremental cost vs. the KOR kit).
Keep us posted on the Souther California shop. I’d make the drive down from Sacramento depending on the cost!

Spoke with Brandon at BTF Fab in Upland, CA. They make a number of long-travel kits for some Toyotas and other trucks.

He is able to make a RCLT-type LT kit for a 100 series, although it will be custom / the first one he has made. Would need to move the shock mounts forward and add some width to make everything fit and to get some performance gain. The kit would have a bump and coilover with the ability to add a bypass. Kit would likely have RCV axles and new fenders (TBD if fiberglass or if existing fenders could be modified).

Super rough quote for the first kit was $20k, but additional kits should be cheaper.

I’ll be visiting his shop in January to check out some of his work and to discuss this more with him.

I’ve also spoken with a number of shops about grafting a Tundra / 200 series LT kit into a 100 series. The consensus is that it can probably be done, but will just as expensive as a custom kit.

Here’s some pics of a tundra grafted 100. Was a custom job by some guy I met on IG. I’ve been leaning towards this. It’s a 2nd gen tundra frame, 200 series steering rack, and 3rd gen tundra CV that were shortened and resplined for the 100 series diff.

Bravo, and you can buy that entire front clip for cheap. The stock Tundra arms are long arms for the 100. Joe Bacal’s LX570 was getting ~ 12” of travel with stock arms and mounts. Too bad you can't easily graft the 200 front diff too. The pinion is in the wrong side.

Mind dm’ing me his instagram name?
IDK his Instagram but it's Russian Alex. He bought a donor truck and it took him maybe 6 months? We texted about it the whole time as I was hoping it was possible for me to produce bracket kits for it on my plasma table. The new set up has allowed him to run 37s on his truck comfortably (with trimming. Pics show it after the body work, which he did himself as well)
