Interesting I had no idea they made ground tents. The frame looks like the OZTent.... (after watching video it is a copy of it...)

Nice addition.

Thanks. I bought the awning, awning walls, and a ground tent, and Bobby made some special connectors that will let them all hook together like one large 2 room tent. When I head out on the trail all I have to do is unzip the walls from the awning and go. A lot easier than packing up a RTT, for me anyway.

Long term plan is to attach the awning to a trailer and set it up there.

Think I'm finally about to pull the trigger on springs.

Are the 2866's the consensus, even though I don't really consider my truck a 'heavy' rig in the back?

The amount of choices out there is nuts...I just want something that rides smooth unloaded and won't sag on trips to CO.

What's the difference between 866 and 863/4?

866 all the way. Look at the rates. Unloaded they will ride better loaded they will take it without a major squat issue.

I have 860s on mine now and they get overloaded when I pack it up.

866s are the best for DD that gets a heavy load from time to time.

I concur on the 866s. With ome T-bars, set at the proper droop level, the 866s will make a 100 sit perfectly level....and they can take a lot of weight without being a harsh-riding spring.

Come on saint....it takes longer to jack the truck up than it does to change the springs out....and you disassembled a 40??

Man, it's different when I'm not driving the truck every day, not real worried about screwing up the 40. And the AHC shocks on mine kinda scare me to be honest.
