Pinstripes=delete. Running boards=delete.

I decided to leave the flares on for now. Maybe later they will come off. I want to lose the brush guard, but can't do it by myself. It is free to a good home if there happens to be any interest. All you have to do is come help me take it off.

Old faded dash kit=delete.

Came off pretty easy with one of those polypropylene putty knives and some direct sunlight.

Looks much better. Damage Multiplier should only be held on by the front tow hook bolts. Throw a thick blanket over the hood and headlights and get that thing off or if you want to do something awesome, tie it off to a tree and throw it in reverse and yank it off, no tools required.

@booradley its real easy. Just a few bolts to take off. You can take off as one piece with help or remove the brush guard from the bracket and then the bracket from the frame to make it easier to lean it down yourself.

I can't tell which part is Land Cruiser and which part is brush guard brackets. I may give it another go this weekend or I may just wait and drive it to the next meeting and let you all show me. Thanks.

Decent price. Not sure if the LX came with a rear locker.

For Sale

That's a good deal there. Kind of worry some there aren't any interior pics but non the less that's a lot of truck for $5100

Drive Belt broke on my 99 tonight. Battery light, AC off, loss of power steering.

Luckily it didn't get into the fan.

Was new (along with idler pulley and tensioner pulley) 25K miles ago. Belt seems in fine shape...except for the break!

New from local dealership is $50-$60.

Anything else I need to know/worry about other than replacing with OEM?

Shop replaced my radiator 2-weeks ago...could they have done something to cause?

Thanks!

Things that are hard:

Driving a 100 with no power steering

Finding a serpentine belt at River Town Toyota in Columbus GA.

Things that shouldn't be hard:

Finding a serpentine belt at River Town Toyota in Columbus GA

So I grabbed a belt at O'Rielly's. Once on, watched as the fan spun all catywhompas. Crap.

OE Belt and Fan Clutch Pulley ordered.

Where's the "unlike" button?

Several years ago, my boss bought a LX for his company vehicle, I think right before the 200 series came out. At the time, I showed him what all my friends with 100s were doing with them and he was pretty awestruck - he knew nothing about the lineage/history. Also showed no interest in going offroad - it was just a lux vehicle to him.

Flash forward to now... he has since moved onto a RR Sport and the LX went to his daughter. Our in-house mechanic typically works on the fleet of FERDs we have in service. The mechanic came to me this morning because he was changing the timing belt/water pump on the LX and was amazed at how much sense it made the way it tore down and the relative ease in changing the belt. The belt itself had 160K on it, admittedly way past service interval. When he opened it up the only noticeable degradation was the smooth outer surface of the belt was a bit thinner and the water pump drain had some gunk in it. If left unchecked the belt would have become submerged. Anyway, he said he'd work on Toyotas all day long, if he could because of the thoughtful design.

Anybody here change an oil pump?

Mine is fine, but figured it's time to replace mine as preventative maintenance at 280k. Besides simply pulling off the pan, I was wondering what else if any surprises there'd be.
