ycookmd & dukerules -

Thanks. I have an idea what I'd like to do. But, I'm open to being wooed by another specialty. I'll be completely happy as long as the bills are paid.

Its funny how values change once the gray hair starts crowding out the brown. To paraphrase St. Paul, "I'm happy rich and I'm happy poor."

I'm just ecstatic to be given another chance this late in the game. The way I look at it, being an exhausted resident beats not having been accepted to med school in the first place!

I'm so excited, I may actually wash the 470........

Good luck. Wish I had the determination to do something like that.

Pint-

Thanks. The way I look at it the years go by anyway. Might as well check a few dreams off the list while we're floating down the river.

I was an executive chef for many many moons...grew tired of the long hours, always stuck working nights and weekends.. I now run an Audi/Porsche shop about 5 minutes from Microsoft.

Seriously, Phase One clinical research (first-in-man investigational drug studies).

In other words, myself & my colleagues are the ones who discover if a pre-FDA-approval drug is safe and at what dosage you explode :D

I'm an ordained minister and work as a hospital chaplain. I'm in a training program to become a chaplain educator. 1 year down about 4 or 5 to go to become fully certified as a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) educator. Our CPE program educates seminary students, pastors transitioning to chaplain ministry and lay people.

I work for the Dept. of Defense. Basically I spend half the year in Denver and the other half in Iraq or Afghanistan or whatever craphole they want to send me to. The upside is I get to see a lot of cool LCs over there, but unfortunately mine is sitting at home in the garage.
