Nolan, sorry we didn't make it to the crawl. I had to go back up to Conway for work on Friday and didn't get back to where we had setup until late Friday afternoon. Both my wife and daughter wanted to stay put, so we did. Maybe next year, with a little more planning, I think it would be a blast. Here are a few shots of our trip on the north side of Lake Ouachita. The camper did great, no issues at all!

Welcome to the club Nick!

As the owner of your initial inspiration, you did a fabulous job.

Not sure if you noticed but I came back 3 yrs after my original post and showed how I measured the tongue weight both empty and loaded using a bathroom scale ...

I'm getting started on a new project to mount a 3kw (3750W peak) generator with an 8.5gal tank and a silencer box (somewhere) on the pup to run my AC unit. Needless to say balance is becoming critical since my dry tongue weight is 260lbs and my loaded (2 quad) weight is 675lbs.

This will be in conjunction with switching to either two or four 6V golf cart batteries and solar panels for trickle charging on longer trips. With my previous two 12v deep cell battery setup, they'd be dead in 3-4 days where I'm planning a 7 day trip this summer with no hookups

Anyhow, good luck and enjoy the great outdoors with your toys and (nearly) all the conveniences of home :)

Later,
WET

Thanks for the inspiration. You've peaked my curiosity with the generator and silencer box, takes pics of how you do it. I too would like to have something like that for the summer months.

With winter here I haven't done much with it. Once it starts getting close to spring we will be doing a bit of traveling, camping and wheeling. Both the wife and kiddo are looking forward to that for sure.
