Has anyone tried improving the sound quality in the cab? I was looking at some products, partticularly Dynamat, which sells HOOD LINERS, DOOR LINERS, FLOOR ETC.
Just trying to make a quieter environment for hearing my stereo.

Jc Whitney has a bunch of bulk stuff.... much less $$$ than dynamat.... others have used bedliner inthe interrior and had good results.... if i had the cash id Line-X the the whole truck panel by panel...

Soundproofing Material

Try the Eastwood Company. They sell a lot of stuff for the hotrod crowd including sound and heatproofing material.

I used dynamat to do the whole cab and then put fabric sound deadner followed by some carpet and it made a world of difference. I know there are lots of cheaper alternatives to dynamat put I was very satisified with what I got.

sound proofing

I used Dynamat and Dynamat extreme with the CCOT carpet kit. The two layers of Dynamat were super the carpet kit which ahd a built in pad was expensive and did not fit as well as hoped. The sound and the heat reduction were welcome and noticable. The whole effort was about 500 dollars so it isn't cheap.

later model deisel FJ40's had a hood liner sound deadening pad underneath the hood. I'd like to come up with some kind of similar alternative I bet it might help out a little too. I've been trying to decide what way to go with this sound deadening as well. I would imagine a liner like line x or herculiner or whatever would be a good place to start and then probably some felt sound deadening matting and then carpet would be a good way to go. What is everyones favorite carpet kit?

first off i want to say hello to everyone, i spend hours reading here and i finally decided to register. there is a cheap alternative to dynamat. its called fatmat, it is exactly the same thing just so much cheaper. 100 sq ft for 99.00. i put it my old 70 and what a difference. well worth the money

Ya'll obviously don't own FJ40's. Most common answer to a question inside an FJ40 "what?"

I agree.

Another solution would be to get a LOUDER stereo
