Thought you guys may be interested in what I came up with.
I've been dealing with high oil pressure and I changed my valve assembly out to new.
As you may be aware, the valve is a little tricky to get out.
Some people say to remove the spring, put the cap back on and blip the starter but that...
I've been struggling for years on how and where to install a secondary Engine Temp Sensor/Gauge on my 12HT.
We all know that the stock Toyota Landcruiser Temp gauge is a little flakey.
Many people suggested to tap/splice into the top hose but I was very hesitant to do so since it's not really at...
Disclaimer… I’m not a certified mechanic but I’m fairly “handy”, have a lot of tools and I have rebuilt a few 4cyl gas engines before….
Background, I purchased this 12HT back in 2014 and swapped it into my Hj60. The engine came from a 1988 JDM HJ61 and had approximately 270,000KM’s on it when I...

Hello all,
I'm in the middle of a 12HT rebuild and I'm having a hard time sourcing these.
Require: 0.250 O/S Part# 11013-68020
Does anyone have a set they would sell?
Or.... does anyone have a source that actually have them in stock?
Seems to be a rare item.
Doesn't need to be OE but it...
I've had a 24V Aisin winch in my shop collecting dust for years... Finally found some time to design and build a new bumper. Wanted it to be modern (A bit like an ARB) with a retro vibe, hence the alum checker plate.
I mocked it up using wood and cardboard. Tried different angles until it...
My AutoMeter Pyrometer “3344” had intermitted malfunction issues. The needle would just bounce around for no apparent reason. Anything would set it off… Lights, brakes, single lights, hazards… even if it was raining!
This seems to be a common theme for Autometer Pryo gauges. You can read it all...
Picked this up last month off of Craigslist for $10.00.
It's a 1965, 200, Made in Canada. Original Globe, no dents.
When I went to purchase it, the guy said it was old and did work the last time he used it... but when I showed up he couldn't get it to work.
Offered him $10... and he took it...
Last spring I did a 12HT swap into my HJ60.
It's starting to get colder and I want to hook up my glow screen/intake heater.
I've purchased a Hella 24V 60amp relay and set up a push button/manual switch circuit.
My question is, I'm not sure what terminal on the glow screen I should be...
I can't find my manual, can't find it online... can someone please tell me if this ok?
I've alwasy used 12V or 120V... Does the ARB fridge have internal switching for 24V? Is it just plug and play or do I need to do something when using 24V source?
Thanks
Mike

Got pulled over by the Abbotsford Police on the way home from work today.
It was not for speeding, it was not for a mechanical, it was not for excess smoke...It was for going "too" slow up a steep hill by my office. (King & Riverside)
I was doing 25km/h in a 50 zone.
The officer thought I...

The 2H in my HJ60 is consuming more oil that I’m comfortable with.
I’m thinking a rebuilt may be in order within the next year or so.
I have a few options…
- Find a lower KM’s 2H and just pop that in,
- Get a rebuild kit and do most of the work myself
Or
- Find an engine shop to just...
Now that the weather is a bit cooler, my 1987 HJ60 (2H - 24V) needs at least two glow cycles to get going.

- Cycle glow plugs
- Glow light goes off
- starts fine, (no smoke)
- runs for 5-7 seconds @ 650RPM, stalls (relay on the passenger side...
