Almost lasted a year this time. Emailed autobeyours.com and they will not work on them anymore. Has any one found a good refurbished source for this overpriced ($4,000) OEM only part?

Mines dead
Mines dead..............Big fat PITA
04 with 100k miles
Fixed once and broke again 3 months later
I bet you will see a high rate of failure as they get some more miles and age.
Come on, did they have to make everything work thru the touch screen?
Problem is back 90 days later........... and it looks like the MFD problems are not isolated to just 04 models as its been reported in later years.
Might be time for me to sell?
Thats not good at all sounds like the STD PITA MFD problem. Originally it seemed that the 04 was the only year involved but now I cant help but wonder if it was the 04-07?
I have an 04 with 100K miles with the same problem....twice. 3 months ago it showed up for the first time so I sent it into autobeyours.com. Everything was fine for 3 months now its back again. They said they will cover it under the 90 day warranty but its a PITA to pull and the truck cant be...
Fixed so far.....knocking on wood...crossing fingers. Autobeyours.com is the repair company I used and they did a good job. I went with them because they were cheaper compared to Mr. Whizard Technical Services - Instrument Cluster Repair, Speedometer Repair, Odometer Repair and Digital Dash...
I sent mine into autobeyours.com $325 was the quoted price and sounds like they have fixed quite a few LC and Prius MFD's. I will post back with the results. I think contacting Denso is a waiste of time, like calling GE direct for a part for your dishwasher.
Bad day at my house, wife just came back from a short trip and said the nav screen was acting weird. I quick look by myself does not look good....
Says"check ac connection"

Yep..... Most Toyota a/c parts seem pretty bullet proof, excpet for the lines that give into the elements.
"I tested the clutch, it's ok, and if I shunt the MG CLT, the compressor run...good, but no cold air."
Maybe I missed something in the post but I never seen anything confirming the...
I would be willing to bet its one of the rear lines leaking.....ask me how I know. I fixed one last spring only to have another failure this spring. Looks like I will have to remove the muffler to get at the connections. Local non-rip off mechanic wanted $800 I walked and decided to go DIY with...
2004 with factory rear seat entertainment pkg.
First problem, tried to play a DVD in the front seat while stopped in park and it would not work, I could hear but not see it? I know thats what it should do if you are driving but I was stopped in park?
Second problem, rear dvd will not let me...
Tell me more! I tried holding my actual working key against the column while attempting to start the vehicle with the key that has not been programmed and it would not start? I have an extra valet key that I could cut the end off and put it wherever I need to. At this point I am quite...
The one you bought that was not oem, what did it look like? I bought my 3 botton key from ebay for $60 and the seller claims it is oem? It looks almost identical to the master that came with my car but the "dealer" says it was not compatible. Who do I believe?
