Do you plan on keeping the AC?

Pontiac details! It’s got a front dam so must be something… we may have the same wheels from the looks of that sliver pic (in my Chevelle, not the cruiser)

I do, just want to replace the head unit in the truck, its pretty beat up.

67 Firebird, 400 with a mild cam, tremec 5 speed, 3.71 posi, wilwood brakes front and rear, power steering, vintage air halfway installed, ridler wheels, waiting on paint this Spring.

More cutting and grinding..... fitted the new front bumper.

Should you decide to farm some of the work out:

Dave is a member of the Gotham City Land Cruisers.

Maybe you can make the Coal Mine Cruiser Classic :

Welcome to the madness

Bumper on, lots of new holes and modifications due to the PO's welding all kinds of extra metal plates, etc. and stock items now not fitting correctly. Top and sides should be coming soon and a new aluminum 3/4 tub should be shipping soon as well. Looks like I will be busy this summer.

Soft top will go up for sale, any idea a reasonable price for these? I cleaned the plastic windows and could not believe how clean they are now. With more effort they would look even better.

So I finished installing the quarter windows on my firebird and decided to take the 40 out for a ride. She tried to start twice then nothing. The starter just keep turning over. Lights work but nothing on the gauges or the electric fan. I guess I have some research to do to get her to start again. Its always something.

I have slowly removed the carpet and insulation adhered to the floor of the entire truck. The rocker and floor on the drivers side is gone. Since I do not plan on doing too much to this until my other project is "finished', I decided to add some structure. I added an angle to the exterior and inside to sandwich what is left of the rocker. I bolted them together and bolted the roll bar plate to the angle as well. I bolted the chair mount to the diamond plate and added another bolt further back and an extra support steel underneath to hold up whats left of the floor plan. I cut the older support section lower so I can mount the door. Glad I have a tub now so when I am ready, I have it.

This temporary resolution is very familiar to me from 20 yrs ago. My solution was fiberglass but when rocks sneak into the cab from below, it’s never a good thing. 😬
Looking forward to tub updates. I’m in the middle of re-welding steel one now.
If you could, share some more info on your source for shiny new Saginaw ps box and drop arm.

The power steering gear box can from Lee Power Steering, 28259 Constellation Road, Santa Clarita, CA 91355. The pitman arm and drag link came from Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters (MUD Id: cruiseroutfit). His customer service people are excellent.

Roof done. Working on the roof side mounting surfaces. May have installed this weekend. Painted the stock roll bar and removing the family cage that is in the truck now. She is still running hot, maybe have to put a 180 degree thermostat in, get rid of the electric fan and install the flex fan and a fan shroud.
