Please do a write up, I'm curious to see what you think about it.

I've been looking at 180 awning and have been leaning towards the alucab shadow awn.
Just posted a quick write up. Initial impressions were great. I would call this a great middle ground between the Rhino's Batwing and the top of the line like Alu Cab Shadow and Bundutec BunduAwn

Refoaming woofers now. Annoying it has to be done at all on a $70K car (new) but I have to say the sound is pretty decent on the speakers I’ve done so far.

Some sort of mystery PVC cap was poorly wired into the nav connectors. I’m guessing it’s a NAV bypass since I can use the nav system while vehicle is in motion.

Decided to keep it in place since everything works but I did remove those awful connectors and soldered/heat shrink tubed everything

Added a little more protection. Every little bit helps.

Changed out my saggy OEM torsion bars with shiny OME ones. Thanks to the forum, I had no issues doing this myself! Feels better already.

Second time out with the new Smittybilt Overlander XL. We love this thing and the optional annex. We'll be using it for several days out in Moab and Ouray in early June.

Really well! You can see I had to remove it from the brackets to open the tent up. Can take it on/off in about 2 minutes. I may just hinge the bottom so I can rotate it forward out of the way.

Massive!

Been waiting for a deal 1/2 as good as the one you got. So far - Not happening.

How’d the newly designed fairing handle?

Cleaned up my blue sea fuse block install with an Overland Equipped mount designed for 2010-2018 4Runners—it sure looked like it might work, and did.
Was able to mount the bracket foot under the fuel filter mount after trimming off the unnecessary ear on that, and just had to drill a hole in the bracket top center to line up with an existing M8 hole in the fender...

I upgraded to a AGM but went to a smaller size battery on my old 4Runner like you did on your 100. I didn't notice until after that I kept the same cca's but lost a bunch of RC (reserve), which is what you want when you run accessories with the engine off.

You got me 2nd guessing myself so read about different options on old threads and went back to sams club to trade up to a group 49 agm, bigger then 27, not as big as 31 but is a drop in replacement so no extra brackets or bases needed!

Went from group 24 which had 65ah to 92ah on the 49 all for an extra $8 (200otd) and dealing with the refund process.

Now I'm all set for the fridge.

What is this piece called, and should I keep it now that I’ve removed it?
It's called a frame weight, lots of us here call it the flux capacitor. Most who remove it don't notice any changes (pay attention at higher freeway speeds). I removed mine but put it back because I developed a hum at around 80mph when it was removed. After putting it back on, most of the hum went away. I guess my frame needed the flux capacitor. Some 100's have 2 of them.

Started working on a dual battery install. I am using a Slee bracket and a H5 (Group 47) AGM battery. The hold down J brackets did need replaced since the Optima battery the bracket is designed for has a shorter case. I choose a Group 47 battery as the terminals are recessed into the case. I wanted to maintain at least 1" of hood clearance and the inset terminals helped achieve that.

Spur-of-the-moment getaway to Hattaras Island, dragging husband along. We got stuck at the Bay Bridge when they wouldn't let us cross with my kayak due to high winds, and at 17' it was too long to ride in the courtesy shuttle, so we left that in their building for the week and continued on our way.
