Hey, guys, I got my LJ73 running so good now.
I recently replaced my Turbo with Ebay CT20.
Watching a couple YouTube and noticed that I can put a CT26 Turbo on my little 2.0 LT
Is that something that is recommended or is that asking for trouble?

If anyone has tried this upgrade please let me know.
I am still running with my original head. So I don't want to crack it either.

Thanks
Olivier

The CT26 is much to big for the 2.4l 2LT. Won't even spool until probably 3500rpm plus. It would be useless.

Even the turbine on the CT20 is a little on the big side, and spools pretty late. However, it does flow pretty well for the 2.4l. Get a manual boost controller and adjust your injection pump boost compensator to suit. I've been running 18psi+ for years now on my CT20 with no issues. This is after the intercooler, so equivalent to running the CT20 at 20psi plus with no intercooler. The CT20 has the same shaft size as the CT26, but a small compressor and turbine. This means it's actually very strong and can take quite a bit of abuse.

If you want to upgrade, look at the Mitsubishi TD04 series (maybe TD04HL-13T). Or Garrett GT20 series (maybe GT2052).
