...but this thing still starts rough. New to me LJ73...

Turn on key, no preheat lamp. Look under dash and find a PO got a superb deal on green wire and some cutters, there's also some Euro domestic flex under there as well. Rat's nest to deal with...

Find momentary button left of steering wheel and preheat light goes on as long as you hold it. Follow out the wires and make a diagram...multi-colors but seems Wilson-esque... can someone confirm this is how it should connect?

Crank, crank, crank some more, finally with a belch of black then white it fires, maybe 2-3 minutes of cranking. I don't want to do this every day...

Next up fuel filter, lines and maybe tank...then wiring...

? yes, I get 12 volts on the bus bar, how would I test the glow plugs?

PO noted they've been replaced on docs, but no details...

usually says on the glow plug itself. I love the wilson switch. worth changing to fresh ones. can do a count in comparison to how hot they get and the cleanest start. I count 16 secs in the morning and 20 secs during winter morning. I have a engine guard watchdog which tells me what temp the head is. Under40c I glow a little say 6 secs if engine is already warmish.
can use 6v glows but very easy to fry them with wilson.
