And this is where we currently stand
So there is about five years, missing many points and trips. Hope to keep better track, but doubtful.
Somewhere in there we had a two year old daugther, and I built a 4x6 plasma table. Next step is rear...
And the finished product.
With the tailgate closed up. You can kind of see how well they match the upper trim of the grey toned interior.
Now time to relax and enjoy.....
....and decide what to store in them. I was thinking spare...
Interesting part is most markets the soft top models came with hard doors. Years ago top and bows were being imported from Pakistan. Not sure how the B pillar bows were made on those. I was lucky and starting collecting soft top parts close to...
On my Gen 2 Tacoma that I got used (and was missing the bottle jack and tool kit) I used an engine starting rod (hand crank) from a FJ55 (slightly modified) to lower the spare tire from underneath the pickup bed. This was a long one-piece rod.

Much of life is counting the costs. Sometimes we have to tell ourselves to shut up. Or, at least I do!
I think it’s different if you’ve never had a resto, bc then you’re partially driven by curiosity: to see if you can actually do it. I did it once, with the swb. Would I do it again? No. It’s way more enjoyable to me to have a vehicle that I can...

This is not an answer to your initial question, but don’t look only to the...
