I found the wiring diagram in my FSM and it shows the connection but with no explanation. I assume this is a ground connection and will look for a connection point when I wrench on it this afternoon? Here is the wiring diagram with the connection I am looking for noted.

Sorry I don't have much more information on these. They were on my table of parts and I saw them there but don't remember taking them out. This was on a complete rebuild. I had the same problem on my 97 cruiser. I actually ended up doing an entire rebuild on the engine and I tried a 24" cheater bar with a 6 ft extention and still couldn't get it to budge. I finally gave up and took the engine block down to the machine shop where he had a 700 ft/lb impact wrench...

Thanks foxfab but I think I will stay with the 95-97 versions for ECU compatibility. Looks more like I will be tearing into the engine this weekend and dropping off at the machine shop on Monday as having difficulty tracking down a drop in at a descent price.

I am looking for a solid 1FZ-FE engine for the 1997 LX450. Preferably with low to medium miles at a fair price. I live in Idaho and am willing to have it shipped or go pick it up if need be. If I can't find something then I will go ahead with the rebuild.
