Oops, sorry about that. Just now changed it to Unlisted. Hope that works, if not I have one more option. God, I am so new to this video world of YouTube. I'll grab the fan in the morning and report. Thanks!
New noise in engine compartment of my 77 FJ40:
Took a 29 mile drive this morning, 45mph through local pecan orchards. Popped the hood when we got home and took the video.

As I was relearning how to use body filler, I discovered this product Clean Sheets for mixing body filler (and epoxy, spackle, and anything else). Makes mixing and clean up super easy.
Gas tank is in. Added some neoprene strips for cushion. Hooked up fuel filler and vapor separator.
Finished up driver's side door weatherstrip. Loosley installed door, still need to make adjustments.
Added weather strips to kick vents, then...
There’s surely better stuff now as has been mentioned, but in a previous life I mixed, applied, grated, and sanded a metric sh!t ton of plain old Bondo. It works great, IF you: a) mix it right, and b) don’t put it on too thick.
If you use too...
Had a fairly productive day today.
Wasn't happy with the window regulators so ran over to CCOT and picked up some new ones. Got the @GA Architect vapor barrier tacked down with some butyl tape. These things are cut perfectly. I did mess up by...
It is very helpful when you are going uphill or just in some rocks and you stall the engine. Just put it low range and first gear and crank the starter without pressing on the clutch. The starter will turn the engine which will turn the wheels...
Reminds me of 20 years ago the ultimate adventure off-road Peterson I think it was magazine video had a guy saying “be careful Don’t scratch your dents”. Funny how our brains remember something long forgotten.
The previous owner installed an old clunker of a starter from CarQuest when the original died, it’s slowly been getting worse so I decided to upgrade to a Toyota reman GR starter. All is can say is wow. If you haven’t done this mod do yourself a...
Just got back into town from a 3 week road trip and I put 1500 miles on the red Land Cruiser pictured below. I also met a lot of great people, including @Ditcherman and @Tank5 in the other two Cruisers.
Few more from the last trip in the 40.
A gal at church knows I have it and asked if I'd be willing to put together and lead a jeep run for folks at church. I said I'd do it but I'd have use my Toyota 😁😆 I'll post a few pics from that in a...
Wesley contacted me a few months back to set up some spa time for his 40 here at the shop.
We've conversed for years on Mud so I knew he's been into 40s for a long time.
We came up with a plan and he dropped it off yeaterday.
First things...
Five years into my resto, I've finally decided to start a thread so I can quit spamming the "What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?" thread. 🙂

Hello, all!
I bought a carburetor from City Racer LLC back in November, when I first picked up my 40 project. Between ordering and delivery, I quickly discovered that I had way more to fix than I first assumed, and my project scope went from a...
The weather here has been way hot and humid to be comfortable out so I had not kept up with things BUT… the last 2 days have been quite amazing with very low humidity. I took the 40 out to run a few errands pick up some gas and do some grocery...
I cut out my wiper gear box gasket today. Pretty close. I scanned the old gasket then uploaded as image to the cricut software. I used 1/32" gasket paper and set the cricut on kraft paper.
