yeah i have pulled the pto cover off the transfer and there is a gear inside for the pto drive it is the older style pto off a single piece transfer where as i have the split transfer the bolt pattern is out by one bolt hole but i have heard the gear inside the pto unit needs to have some...

maybe try the check valve in the hand primer pump if car has been sitting say overnight and check valve is leaking fuel will drain back into tank causing a air gap then takes a few cranks to get this fuel back up

hey mate i have a 82 BJ42 LX and a 83 BJ42 LX the 83 model has the round filter light and the 82 has the filter light up on the dash... there is a few differances between the 82 and 83 models both LX
