Steve,
As soon as I found my solution for everything we talked about last week, I had to switch out of Landcruiser mode and go into river rafting mode. Heading up to the Rogue River in Oregon tomorrow. Had a couple projects to finish on the raft...
Figured it was time to fix some of the Rubithon carnage. Looks like I scraped some paint off the rear driveshaft, might have bumped into a rock or something. Fortunately I had 1/2 a can of color matched spray paint.
Fixed it.
Put on the PS scuff plate. Had to remove the old one to do so. Drilled out a few screwheads and pried it up. 50 years of spilled drinks and whatnot glued it down pretty well. Chipped out the glue with a wood chisel, color matched the interior...

That color is rare-rare. @wngrog
We gonna need a bunch more pics too!
All those changes mentioned previously with distributor, wires, spark plugs, etc…Still something wasn’t quite right.
I know the choke is a little lazy, but then I got to looking at manifold bolts and started to wonder.
Sure enough 4 were not...
What I did with my Pig...Rubithon!
I didn't take a lot of pics, my hands were usually busy. My Shotgun took some, we'll wait for him to post.
Some teasers
Template made for the tunnel.
This back section will be welded into place.
Front peice will be bolted/removable to keep that OEM feeling.
Additional bracing added as I've cut the body rib out, and the floor is extremely flimsy.
