Might want to replace that rag joint. How sloppy is you steering wheel? Doesn't look like there is a bushing or pillow block on the engine firewall side. You can also ditch that steering stabilizer bracket that is ubolted to the axle.

The wire Matt was asking about is circled. You should not have any wiring bolted on your steering shaft.
