Finished my first ever Timing belt/WP service, replaced every tensioner, pully, fan bracket, radiator and most of the water hose.
A BIG thank you to all you mudders who have detailed the process so well that even I got the courage to do it.
With 2 LCs in the garage and 2 in the driveway, it was getting a little crowded. If I had a pole barn, I would have kept it. It would have been nice to take it past 500k
After 10,853 miles, 3 cracks in my windshield and two oil changes ,I just got back from my Alaska/Arctic circle trip that I took w/ my teenage daughter. These LC are a true testament to great engineering, I had zero issues on my trip. The trip...
So I’ve been putting off fixing my exhaust for over a year now. I’ve been running a flow master 40 series custom set up for like 7ish years, and the tail pipe had rusted completely off a while back and I was essentially just running the flow...
Yesterday, I installed rear calipers, rotors, and pads.
I also installed a new spare tire pulley as my original was chewed up from breaking the stupid factory wheel lock off of it
3d printed a sleeve for my swing arm latch so that it can accept standard bike grips. The longer length of this makes things so much easier and prevents me from slamming my hands into the locking pin.
Built a loom for the TCC bumper lights. Spliced into the taillight instead of the trailer wiring. Now to repeat on the other side.
Wiring is a lot more enjoyable when you have a tailgate to work on, not at a weird angle and have the right tools...
Leak, can be cause for CAT failure.. But I've yet to see one either. One guy in mud claims he replace many CATS due exhaust leak. But offeres no poof.
I'm not crazy about even NAPA. Why, I suspect bootlegs are being returned as genuine, at all...
Hmm I forgot about this thread until you bumped it.
I never did see any noticeable change in MPG when doing the electric fan conversion. However, I didn't track my mileage too closely (awful + 2 is still pretty awful) and how I use my 100 means...
I found that in low rpm conditions, the aux fan helps my A/C cool quicker on my 05 using this kit. I have it wired up to one of my switch pro outputs. Next time I use it, if I have my Autel MX900 with me, I'll log the engine coolant temperature...
Jumping on this threadnaught just to get some perspective. I have a 2003 4.7 UZJ100 that has about 185K miles. I previously had a p0156 code and replaced that sensor and it went away. I then have had p0420 coming up sporadically. Just out of...
My understanding is that bank sensor 2 should generally be stable and flat. It looks like there are periods of lower than expected performance in Bank 1, spikes in Sensor 2 Bank 1, which would align with P0420 code? I am running into a similar...
Nice, I really like the Yokohama tires. I wonder how the thread pattern differs from the X-AT variant?
It looks like A/T XD is pinned for studs.
I have the X-AT in Load E in the LT275/70/18 (~33in on Tundra rims). My only minor nitpick is on...
I have these tires bookmarked in a 295/70r18 size. (For when I move to 18" wheels) because it's a great size for lifted 100's - 34.3" x 11.6"
I like the siping and the aggressive shoulders. Looks like a reasonably good snow tire as well.
These...
