This is my Dad's friend Bert out with him and the '80 BJ40 on a hunting trip. This truck would eventually become my first vehicle when I was 16 and got my driver's license. It was never this nice when I was driving it, most of the tub had rotted away and was patched with galvanized sheet metal attached with screws which was painted a lighter green for a really nasty two tone effect. It still ran with a huge dent in the oil pan when I traded it for a $1000 off the price of the bodywork on my wagon.

I had a 79 the same colour.

1: My current ride "Lando Cruise-rithian" shortly after I bought it in the summer of '03

2: I picked up a "Dune" lift kit from a JDM HJ60 that included some really tall shackles which I left out for some belton AI s. @ Whipsaw in '06 with the 235/75R15 s still on the truck. Thanks again for the tow up Falcon hill Drew. That was the day FJ Cruisers earned some respect from me.

3: Lookin' tight with some new rubber. May '07

1: This is why my grille no longer sits straight.

2: 3B out for the 13B-T, Transmission and T-case rebuild carried out as well.

3: Back together in '09, mostly the same as today but now the rust is coming back.

I spent about a year and a half with my friend Paul taking this '85 BJ70 apart and piecing it back together. After it was road worthy, my truck was apart in my garage for 9 months and I had the pleasure of driving it around. The 3B in this truck seemed to be in much better shape than the one in my wagon.

Getting back to the Olde photos, (sorry for blah bla blahing Jeff)

1: Bruce taking RTI scores at a Crusier Days held at my high school, North Surrey Secondary. The Black 40 was from Washington IIRC.

2: I think this clean 45 was up from California for the show.

3: Another view of this 45

1: The last time I saw this truck it was in a driveway in the Fleetwood/Tynhead area of Surrey. I believe it's likeness was also on the front of a Cruiser Days shirt when JP Toyota still hosted the event.

2: I loved the way this 45 looked, I think it continued to evolve from this state if I'm correct. Sure made me want to have a red truck.

I don't remember which run this was, but it's Deny-approved... 2 60s, a 70, and a line of 40s and 42s. Nary a coil spring in sight :D

Enigma,
You'll be happy to know I found the old "Tracking Video". I will need to digitize it

Two lost loves:
1990 73 series and 1977 celica gt fast back.

I'd have to scan my old rovers to take you way back
