Also got a new tattoo from Cadillac hill! Slid down into the darn thing instead of staying low and letting the slider do work...

I'd like to thank everyone that helped me getting the Rubithon put together, put special thanks to Jerry and Julie Reffner, for helping Karen and I in registration and putting on a great wine tasting event for RTF.

I can't thank Russ Watkins and Woody enough for your selfless efforts getting everyone up Cadillac Hill on Sunday, that is one huge area for improvement for next year! If you have an intrest in helping with this next year, contact me at chairman@rubithon.com for a free ride!!! First 10 people get it!

We have some ideas to make the raffle go more quickly and smoothly next year as well. And while I'm sure I missed thanking more than these two, I want to give a huge thank you to Luke Porter from 4x4labs for donating his bumper for the FJ40's. It is a top quality bumper that would be awesome for anyone lucky enough to have one.

Also to Paul Decker from Deckers' Hot Camp Showers for the awesome hot camp shower set up he dontated. I personnally bought one of his continous hot water showers and privacy tent, and can attest how awesome it is to have a nice warm shower to get all the Rubicon DG dust off!

I was amiss in properly acknowledging these and possibly a few other raffle prizes that people so graciously donated. Please accept my appologies! Next year, we will have the prizes written out so in the chaos and darkness, I don't drop the ball again

I'm glad everyone had a great time and look forward to seeing everyone again next year!

Eric,
You guys did awesome. Great communicationbefore and at the event. I heard a lot of compliments and praises about the added activities.
Joel kicked ass on the raffle. Thank you for taking this over from me. I could not have done the task this year and you graciously took it over and ran with it. I know how much work it takes.
Wine tasting definately needs to be back next year. Can you post up the list of winery's and wine tasted?
One of the best things about Rubithon is everyone working together. When Ross Wooody asked for help in the kitchen to serve, people jumped up to help. I think Georg may have broken into a sprint.
Woody, besides hosting all this communication on the forum and giving us a place to gather on the internet, volunteers to spot on the exit. Not like he had a long drive to get home.
Ross, great meal as usual. Enjoyed the breakfast. Raffle gods were good to you.
Toy's on The Rock's- Great job getting the area ready and supporting Eric through out the event.
My fellow PMCer's always good to see such a large turn out. We had 29 members (not including family or friends show up!)
Big Jim Adam's Trail Run- We had 2 trucks that were being nursed through the trail one with a bad rear 3rd that jim was pulling to assist when needed and another truck that had lost reverse that when needed to go backwards had to be pulled. No one complained, everyone worked together and we made good time.

I could go on and on.........

I will say that if you enjoyed the event and want to be involved, get a hold of Eric and offer to help for next year. There is a lot of forward planning that goes on if you do not want to be committed at the event itself.

Picture of my buddy Craig in my rig not taking the Talledega turn on Big Sluice. The trip definitely motivated him to finish his Cruiser. Got a rear wrap bar fabbed up yesterday.

Eric, that was the best Rubithon I've been on for sure. All the events Saturday were hard to keep up on. Thanks for all your hard work.

Got back in time to have a glass of duty free vino with my wife on her birthday.

Great job on the raffle Joel. That is always the hardest job to do.

Two winches, a fridge, several air tanks, soft tops to name a few of the bigger prizes.

I got skunked on the raffle but won big time on the trail. More pics tonight.

2400 miles for a 22 mile long road...yep, it was worth it. and mileage was great on the way home...we lost a lot of weight when pighead shaved his beard

So you got the inofficial Iron Butt Award? :bounce::steer::bounce2:

My 2 cent:These 22 miles are well worth it no matter what distance.

Yep, Eric knocked it out of the park.

Julie or I will get that list of wineries (they are someplace, just have to sort through all of the unpacking. Still have to send thank you notes to them) and I will get them posted.

Thanks to everyone.....It was awesome!

Jerry
